The Power Input and Metering Cabinet (SHVO) is a key component in electrical systems, designed to ensure accurate and efficient electricity metering. It offers a long service life.
The metering cabinet is designed for commercial metering of active and reactive electrical energy at 50 Hz and 380/220 V. It is installed in industrial, residential, and administrative low-power facilities with currents up to 630 A.

The main functions of the input and metering enclosure (SHVO) include:

Design Features
The system is designed for transformer or direct connection and can accommodate one or more meters.
For transformer connection, the SHVO is equipped with three-pole circuit breakers and a KP-25 (KP-125) test box. For direct connections, it features sealable incoming circuit breakers and outgoing (feeder) circuit breakers.
A sealable incoming circuit breaker is provided for installation. Feeder circuit breakers may also be included.
The cabinet contains precision metering equipment, including current transformers, meters, and other measuring devices. This ensures high accuracy and reliability of electricity consumption data.
Some models of electricity metering cabinets are designed for outdoor installation and are built to withstand extreme weather conditions. Protection against moisture, dust, and ultraviolet radiation ensures stable operation even in harsh climatic conditions.
Electricity metering cabinets equipped with current transformers are also available for systems with currents exceeding 100 A.
When ordering cabinets directly from the manufacturer, they can be equipped with the necessary components. For example, circuit breakers, residual current devices (RCDs), automated commercial electricity metering systems (ASKOE), and other components can be installed. The specific configuration of functional elements depends on the design specifications.
Cabinet Configuration
A standard metering cabinet includes:
- a metal enclosure with a specified degree of protection;
- an input and metering panel with the necessary equipment;
- a main circuit breaker, disconnect switch, or fuses;
- RCDs (residual current devices);
- one or more single-phase or three-phase metering devices.
Depending on the installation location, the cabinet may be designed for facade, outdoor, or indoor installation, and may be wall-mounted or built-in.
