Precast Concrete Transformer Substations (PCTS)

PCTS are an important component of electrical networks and are used to provide stable and uninterrupted power supply to electricity consumers. They are typically installed in areas where electricity consumers are located in close proximity and where voltage transformation is required for subsequent power distribution to residential buildings, offices, industrial facilities, and other sites.

Features of Precast Concrete Transformer Substations (PCTS)

All PCTS are manufactured from high-quality concrete. The wall thickness and concrete quality ensure structural strength, provide adequate thermal resistance, and prevent condensation from forming inside the substation. The concrete substation building consists of the following parts:

  • Above-ground module;
  • Basement module.

After installation at the site, the building forms a single compact structure. All building components are made of non-combustible or fire-retardant materials. The oil containment trays beneath the transformers are designed to hold 100% of the oil volume of the installed transformers. The structure features natural supply and exhaust ventilation through specially designed ventilation openings.

  • Robust Construction: The PCTS enclosure is made of monolithic M-300, B-25 concrete with 120 mm thick walls. This simple and reliable construction provides excellent thermal characteristics, preventing condensation and maintaining optimal operating temperatures for the equipment.
  • Environmental Safety: PCTS provide complete environmental protection thanks to a sealed foundation that prevents transformer oil from potentially entering the soil.
  • Fast Commissioning: PCTS are factory-manufactured and delivered to the site ready for installation, reducing construction time and accelerating commissioning.
  • Anti-Vandal Design: Doors, louvers, and locks feature anti-vandal construction.
